Lockhard Hideaway

Our three night stay at this lakefront home was incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt an immediate sense of peace and relaxation.
The house was spotless, beautifully designed, and filled with natural light, with stunning lake views from almost every room. Waking up to birds singing each morning was a true highlight.
Everything we needed was provided, including a fully equipped kitchen and cozy spaces to unwind. We loved the canoes for exploring the lake, and the large fire pit was perfect for relaxing evenings together.
The home struck the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, making it an ideal getaway. We even tried to extend our stay, but it was already booked, which says it all!
We left feeling refreshed and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this peaceful lakefront gem.

Where do I even start? This home was immaculate with awesome views, but Jared (host) was phenomenal. He was so so responsive and helped us out when we were in a pinch, looking to change Airbnbs due to issues with the previous home. He was so kind and so understanding, which made this whole experience at this home, so much better. We loved the air hockey and ping pong table, but absolutely loved home honey and spacious it was. The pictures do not do justice! Thank you again Jared, for helping us!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The host was incredibly responsive and made everything smooth from check-in to check-out. We had a great time on a multi generation family vacation! Would definitely rent here again. The house was really well fitted out. Everything you could need in the kitchen (we like to cook, so this was really nice for us!). We appreciated the little touches like the welcome basket, hair dryers and cozy blankets. We weren't expecting firewood for the fire pit, either. The hosts were easy to contact and quick to respond when we discovered the life jacket storage box was gone. You know how sometimes when you rent and they provide linens and the house sleeps 12, so you get exactly 12 bath towels? Not the case here! Plenty of extra towels. Oh, and definitely check out Daveste Vineyards!

Stunning house and such a peaceful location! Fell in love with the wind chime in the backyard; has the most relaxing tone for all hours of the day. The hosts were great, left a beautiful welcome basket including any information we may need, a bottle of wine, and more! The light switches and cabinets were nicely labeled for ease and had ample supplies for hosting a large group. And everyone LOVED the pillows, thick and sturdy yet soft! I'd recommend this home to any group staying in North Carolina!

Stayed here for one weekend for a conference. Beautiful spot. Wasn’t far from the conference and surrounding area to dine and relax. Comfortable home with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend and stay here next year!!

This house was gorgeous and exactly what we needed while in town for a family funeral. The host left a sympathy card and wine and was gracious enough to give us a extra hour on our checkout day. We would love to come bck to this place for a happier vacation. The game room and hot tub were 👌

This place is perfect for a family gathering. The master bedroom and bath were perfect for my 85 year old parents. My dad kept saying it was the nicest bedroom he had ever been in! We cooked big breakfasts for the whole family in the kitchen and found everything we needed. The best part was the garage! I totally missed it while booking and it was a wonderful surprise! We had heated ping pong tournaments, my dad loved the air hockey and we were worried we wouldn't be able to get my brother off the video game in time to go to the wedding we were there for! Also discovered there was a heater in the garage the second night. lol. We all decided we would have to get together again in the summer to enjoy the lake. Very quiet setting and you can catch some gorgeous sunsets.

Excellent Thanksgiving trip
This was our first time to stay at Lake Norman and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The house is very comfortable and clean. The views are lovely and beds are comfy! We enjoyed a hike around Lake Norman State Park. We then came home to a Polar Plunge and finished off in the hot tub! The fire pit (s'mores supplies provided by host!) was great fun. The host went above and beyond for us - after we told him there were no casserole dishes for Thanksgiving cooking, he immediately purchased some and brought them to us! We expressed concern about the size of the dining table and he found a leaf and chairs for us. HIGHLY recommend this place!

Perfect Lake Norman Vacation Stay!
Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house nestled in a private cul de sac on Lake Norman. Our host was welcoming and attentive. We made use of the boat dock, kayaks, spa tub, game room (ping pong, arcade games), well-stocked kitchen, outside grill, screened porch and large living areas. We rented a pontoon which was delivered, and had several fun days of cruising and fishing. Firewood was alread stacked in the fire pit which we used one night with smores that came as a gift with from Vacay (thank you!). Thanks so much -we highly recommend this place!
